Consider the following list is having various range in NoEmployees field. Namely, 100-249, 1000 – 4999, 10000+, 250 – 499, 50 – 99, 500 – 999. The entire sheet has to sorted out based on the NoEmployees (ascending / descending)

Step:1

Select entire sheet by pressing Ctrl + A.

Step:2

Click “Data” in the menu list. Click “Sort”. You will get a sort dialog box on the screen.

Step:3

Select the field you wish to sort in the “Sort by” combo box. In our case “NoEmployees”. Then click “Custom List” in the order combo box.

Step:4

Now provide the order of out come you wish to use. Click “Add”, so that the left panel will have 50 – 99, 100 – 249, 250 – 499, 500 – 999, 1000 – 4999, 10000 +. Then Click “Ok”

Step:5

Click “Ok” in “Sort” Dialog Box.

This is my first blog. Let me instruct you, how to filter repeated data

in a Column. here is a sample screenshot, which has a list of cities are

repeated.

Select the Column. in my case “Column A”
Now goto Data -> Filter -> Advanced Filter on the Menu.

Select “Copy to another location” for safer part. dont worry about the list range, since its already selected. now specify where the filtered content wants to go. in my case i choose B3. The last one is very important task. provide a tick mark in “Uniquerecords only” Checkbox button and Click “Ok”.

Reduce your headache with reduced list.

The business process outsourcing (BPO) and knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) sectors are the ones worst affected. A few of them have reduced their workforce and revised pay scales. An insider at Intelenet Global Services’ back-office operations at Mahape (Navi Mumbai) said that a number of measures aimed at cutting incentives and increasing employee workload have been introduced within a couple of processes.

“In the SLH (insurance) process, Saturdays used to be a great opportunity to earn overtime at Rs 150 per hour. But now, all Saturdays have been earmarked as compulsory holidays,” the source said. “Monthly targets have been reset to weekly targets, but we still don’t earn as much as we did working on Saturdays.”
